Experiencing the Festival Together
The New European Bauhaus Festival takes place in Brussels from June 9-13, 2026. Organized by the European Commission it brings together pioneering projects, thought leaders and forward-thinking initiatives from across Europe. The festival celebrates best practice projects that transform built environments into places that are Beautiful. Sustainable. Inclusive. 

First Life, Then Spaces, Then Buildings 
​​​​​​​This is the philosophy of the New European Bauhaus. Through forums, fairs, fests, and satellite events the festival shows us WHY this Life-First approach is essential for Europe`s future and WHAT is possible.​ With the School of Socialtecture we contribute: HOW do we get there? How do we create places for life? What principles guide us in social life? In Brussels we’ll explore the 9 Socialtecture Principles of Life and apply them to current urban challenges.​​​​​​​

The Schedule
With the School of Socialtecture, we’ll be at the festival every day – and you’re very welcome to join us. The learning journey includes: 

Friday Afternoon (Festival Close): We summarize insights, share highlights, and get to know each other over a group dinner.
Saturday Full Day: We immerse deeply—through impulses, exercises, and co-creation. From theory to practice!​​​​​​​​
