What would life do?  

Social Design Week Hamburg 

Vibrant cities, good neighbourhoods, social cohesion - we all want these things and have long since formulated them as goals. But how do we get there? How do we design cities, districts and neighbourhoods in such a way that life, people and the common good really take centre stage? The new creative discipline SOCIALTECTURE offers answers and guidance.

In this presentation, initiators Julia Erdmann and Indra Musiol provide a practical overview and inspire us to break new ground together with the "9 Socialtecture Principles of Life". We will experience how SOCIALTECTURE co-creatively brings people together and provides impetus for a liveable, social and sustainable city - and how we can all become part of this movement.

Under the motto "Creating Community," the Design Zentrum Hamburg will demonstrate how design brings about social change from June 16 to 22, 2025. In cooperation with numerous social projects, the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft's location initiative for the design industry will host events throughout the week in HafenCity and other locations throughout the city, inviting participants to participate and exchange ideas. During Social Design Week, we will discover at several locations in the city how design can shape and change the way we live together.
